DANIEL SALEH –  AWARD-WINNING AESTHETIC SURGERY

BROW LIFT

Brow lift surgery is a specialist procedure designed to elevate the position of the eyebrows and restore a more refreshed appearance to the upper face. Daniel Saleh is an expert eyebrow lift surgeon who provides endoscopic or direct elevation of the brow through precise surgical planning and advanced facial rejuvenation techniques.

BROW LIFTS: At a glance

The eyebrow or brow often slide downwards as we age, and can go hand in hand with developing upper eyebags. Sometimes, the heaviness in the upper eyelid area is actually related to the brows coming down rather than an eyebag issue.

There are a number of ways to surgically lift the brow, and it often depends on whether you have an eyebag issue as well, and your preferences for where the scars may lie. Of all the procedures we offer, browlifting has the most variable number of options and is very dependent on your anatomy. Our most powerful procedure is a temporal release browlift which requires a cut just in the hairline in the temple.

This form of brow lift is common in our practice because most people have brow issues where the outer brow region droops. Our other common procedure is trans-palpebral browpexy which means lifting the brow through the same incision used for an upper eyebag removal (i.e in the upper lid crease). This is often done for patients that have a combination of upper eyebag and brow problems.

Ultimately, depending on your anatomy and needs there are other browlift options to suit your specific needs. In general, we all have asymmetric brows, and surgery can often improve the symmetry as well as raise the brows back into their natural position, to restore a functional position of the brow.

    Brow lift faqs

What does a eyebrow lift surgery do?

A typical brow lift surgery procedure aims to reset the position of your brow higher on the forehead to relieve the heaviness on the eyelid and eye, and to open up the appearance of the eyelid again.

It is often considered as part of overall eyelid rejuvenation and facial rejuvenation surgery.

How long does brow lift surgery last?

The results of a brow lift are long-lasting, although they are not completely permanent. Natural ageing and gravity continue to affect the position of the brow over time. Longevity can vary between individuals depending on factors like anatomy and lifestyle factors.

In some cases, non-surgical treatments such as Botox may be used alongside surgery or during follow-up care to help maintain the position of the brow.

What are the main complications of a brow lift surgery?

As with any surgical procedure, brow lift surgery carries some risks. These may include temporary numbness around the incision sites, swelling, or minor irregularities in the scar.

Depending on the version of browlift you have, scars can be lumpy, and scars placed in the hairline can disrupt some hair follicles and leave stretched scars (very uncommon). Numbness around the scars can occur and in very uncommon cases there can be descent of the brow soon after surgery.

All potential risks are discussed with Daniel Saleh in detail during consultation to ensure informed decision-making.
